I met Debra and Mike when they were traveling to New Hampshire for a wiffle ball tournament. That’s right Mike was in a wiffle ball tournament. How cool is that?!? From my understanding his team is undefeated when Mike is playing. If only there was a pro league, Mike could go pro. I knew instantly that these two were going to be a ton of fun and I wasn’t wrong.
This is the first time we’ve filmed in Vermont and it was a destination wedding for Debra and Mike. I’ve been through Vermont before and everytime it catches me off guard by how amazingly beautiful it is. Debra and Mike found an amazing spot at the Equinox Resort. Right behind it is this isolated pavilian that has the backdrop of a mountain (big hill? I’m from Texas, we think any land the goes up is a mountain) and it’s right on the water. Perfect wedding location.
Mike was kind enough to share a selfie he took with Lori (one of Latimer Studio’s great cinematographers). Thanks Mike!
Their family is from all over, some as close as New Hampshire and others from California, so it was a great mix from all over the United States. They had a small wedding of about 40 of their closest friends and family. It was so much fun. We got to spend some time that morning watching Mike and his friends play golf to get ready for the big day and see Debra hang out with her sister, mother and mother-in-law. I think the mornings is one of my favorite parts to capture of a wedding day. It’s when everyone’s excited about the wedding, but still a little nervous. It’s a great combination and people’s genuine personalities and excitement shines through.
