Krista + Jeff // Saratoga Hall of Springs Wedding // Classy Upstate New York Wedding Film

Krista and Jeff had such an awesome wedding at Saratoga Hall of Springs.  This was our first time to film in upstate New York and it is a beautiful spot.  My mom was in town from Texas and was gracious enough to watch our son (Noah) while we filmed this wedding.  She loved it so much she started looking up houses to buy in Saratoga Springs!  While I doubt she'll actually move there, it is an awesome spot.

The ceremony took place at a church just outside of Union College (the college they both attended) before heading to Saratoga Hall of Springs.  I don't want to ruin the wedding film so I won't give anything away, but the speeches were killer in this wedding.

Enjoy their wedding film:

Lauren + Dylan // The Press Hotel // Cathedral of the Immaculate // Portland Maine Wedding

Portland is becoming one of my favorite cities to film a wedding.  It has so much fun character.  Lauren and Dylan started their day at the really cool Press Hotel.  I love the vibe of that place and I knew that this was going to be an amazing wedding the instant we got there.

Lauren and Dylan have an incredible relationship with their family.  It was so clear from the speeches and interactions we saw all day that family was so important.  The toast that is at the end of this wedding is one of my favorites for sure (don't be afraid to bring a tissue) and the speech that clearly represents how important family really is.

The Landing at Pine Point is a gem for a reception.  From what I gathered it is a remodeled church, so it's got an amazing stage (for the Groove Alliance to kill it on stage) and beautiful vaulted ceilings.

Enjoy their story!

Boston Indian Wedding // Sharada + Billy // Hyatt Regency Cambridge // Day 2

Boston Indian Wedding

You probably already saw Day 1 where Sharada and Billy had their American wedding. If you haven’t then go see the Boston Wedding at Hyatt Regency blog post. I love the intentionality behind using the Hyatt Regency as their venue. It has so many great rooms that they were able to use different rooms every for each wedding. It really made each wedding feel incredibly unique.

Boston Sound and Light puts on an amazing Baraat and this day was not an exception. There is no better way to go to your wedding than to be brought in on a horse, while all your friends and family dance. So fun! In fact, Lori (my wife) decided that if we were to redo our wedding that a Baraat would have to be included. Boston Indian Wedding Dancing

I love when a wedding speech has a great story that not only tells a funny anecdote, but also really enlightens everyone about the character of the bride and groom.  The wedding of Laura and Billy was no exception.  I love the story of how they original called Billy, "El Billy".  As the maid of honor so graciously translated it to literally mean "The Billy".  What a perfect name for the the only one that could be perfect for Laura.  Great story!

Enjoy that story and much more from their wedding.

Same Day Edit- Is that for real?

Boston Same Day Edit

Boston Same Day Edit

Is This Real Life?

There are so many details that are planned for a wedding. The ones that come to your mind right away are probably the centerpieces, the flowers, the dress, the tux and mostly things that happen after everyone gets there. BUT there are details and emotions from your morning that almost no one gets to see - from putting on the dress, to getting your makeup done, to the hotel room you picked to get ready in, to hanging out with your best friends while playing golf.  Those moments are important to the story of your day.

Wouldn’t it be amazing to be able to share those moments with your friends and family during the reception? You’re in luck! We love creating a Same Day Edit film for that reason. It's not something you see at most weddings, but it adds so much to the celebration!

Ok, but what is a Same Day Edit?

Quick explanation: It’s a wedding film that we create on the day of your wedding.  We’re going to take moments from your morning, ceremony and the beginning of the reception and create a roughly two minute film that we will show all your friends and family.  We show it by putting it on a screen and having it loop over and over again. It’s a beautiful piece that people love to share at their wedding!
