Sometimes the eyes tell a whole story.
Overlooking the mountains of North Conway, NH there could not have been a better backdrop for saying I do. The clouds gathered in and despite all of our internal pleas for the rain to hold off, it came. We were just leaving the Swift River bridge- built in 1870!- where Mary and Robb had their first look, and the drops began to fall along with a wave of disappointment.
The wedding was moved inside, but the big glass windows still allowed us to see the breathtaking views. However, the mountains were not what captured my attention, there was something even more beautiful happening.
Mary walked down the isle in the Red Jacket Resort and as I’m taking my pictures I notice Robb. He had the most gorgeous adoration and love in his eyes. He held Mary’s gaze as she got close, silently telling her, “It’s okay. The wedding is now indoors. But I could not be more in love and more happy.” The love that poured into her in that moment was palpable.
As I edited the pictures later sure enough his eyes told a brilliant story of compassion, support and love. Mary and Robb both give this to each other- along with a lot of laughter, and a lot of dry hilarious humor.
And as the wedding day went on, it was beyond a perfect celebration. Fall decoration, an amazing art piece of a wedding cake, speeches that brought tears and dancing for hours.
Thank you Robb and Mary for being the great people you are. I am grateful to have shared in your gorgeous day with you.
